Practicals are over …
And I got a 150 out of 150 for my cookies and corn muffins. WHEW!!! It went way better than I could have hoped! Nerves aside, it was pretty easy to get my focus. I did one thing at a time, and I took my time (but, neither took that long) and it paid off! I think my home practice helped. I got my timing down pretty well and got a bit of confidence. Both are good things. I have pics, but I need to load them...
Nerves
I am really nervous about my mid-term practical tomorrow. I should not be, but I am. This week I have practiced my cookies and corn muffins. The cookies turned out ok but I feel they spread too much. The corn muffins were lovely. So, if you read this before 12pm tomorrow please think good thoughts for me!
Feeling MUCH Better

I made a 22 out of 25 on my first Fun-Bake Quiz. Not bad, I suppose. I missed one question out of sheer bone-headedness. I know the germ is not the outer covering of the wheat, but I said it was. Saturday was my first baking day in Fundamentals of Baking. We made 7 kinds of cookies. In 3 1/2 hours. Let me tell you, it was an absolute BLAST!!! It was hard, sweaty work.
