Pumpkin Fondue

I did a guest post for October Unprocessed over at Eating Rules!  The photo above is of a dreamy, smooth Pumpkin Fondue that is packed with all kinds of goodness.  It also taste FAR more evil that it truly is!  Take a moment to take a...

Chorizo Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates

Happy Cinco de Mayo!! Rather than give you yet another dip, enchilada, nacho, or taco recipe I thought to provide you a spicy/salty nibble to help soak up all the celebratory May 5th drinks.  For a long while I have been in love with bacon wrapped dates.  Something about sweet, tender dates wrapped in crisp, salty bacon makes my heart go pitter-pat.  Something else that makes my evil heart trip with joy is Mexican style chorizo...

Carrot, Cardamom and Coconut Soup

I always carry with me a book I call my ‘Inspiration Book’. This is the place where I jot down ideas, or flavors, so when I get back to my home kitchen I remember what it was, exactly, that inspired me.  This little book has served me well, and it is directly responsible for this soup.  When my husband and I were off at IFBC last month we took a little side trip into Vancouver, BC.  I had never been to Canada and it was...
